Bluebells, Blue Skies, Blue Sea, Blue Towels, Blue Dresses, Blue Inkβ¦ I love seeing the colour blue, it makes me smile from ear to ear. For me there seems to be a clarity in this colour, a sense of tranquillity and beauty. So, why do people use this colour to define negative emotionsβ¦Feeling blue, the baby blues etcβ¦?
Negative emotions are more like the darkest grey cloud descending over your bright blue sky, blocking the sunlight and warmth from your soul. You can focus on the darkness creeping closer and get lost in its fog, or you can look for the tiniest bit of colour and notice how happy it makes you feel⦠holding onto this happiness until the clouds pass and the bright blue sky appears once more, as they always have and always will.
Conclusion
Like the ever-changing sky, emotions ebb and flow. Just as a stormy cloud eventually gives way to clear blue skies, our feelings can transform too. Maybe itβs not about avoiding βthe bluesβ, but rather finding comfort in their passing. So, letβs embrace the shades of our emotions, knowing that even the darkest moments hold the promise of brighter days to come.
