“Weeks Like These: Fun or Fatigue…?”
The Saturday Simplifier #2 - 1 Quote to Inspire - 2 Simple ideas to move the needle - 3 Words to think about
Welcome to The Saturday Simplifier.
For those of you who are new to Think Better, Feel Better 🌿😊 Each week, you’ll receive The Saturday Simplifier email, where I share a quote or experience that’s caught my attention and inspired me to do and/or think about things differently, more simply, more easily. These reflections will be short (less than a 5 minute read) with the goal of inspiring simplicity in your own life, too.
I hope you enjoy them and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
On weeks like these, when late nights and increased socialising throw my routine off balance, I feel the push and pull between fun and fatigue. Motivation comes in waves, but my body isn’t always ready to ride them. Long covid and vasculitis remind me that energy isn’t endless - rest, hydration, and mindful choices matter. Yet, when life speeds up, I forget the simple things that keep me steady. That’s why this week’s quote feels especially relevant.

2 Simple ideas to move the needle
Micro-Moments of Joy – Instead of waiting for the weekend or a break, find small ways to invite fun into your daily routine. A favourite song, five minutes of fresh air, a playful interaction - tiny shifts can reframe the week.
Check your charge – We’re constantly checking the charge on our phones and plugging it in when it’s running low. Fatigue is when your battery’s running low and often creeps in when one task blurs into the next. Try pausing between activities - even a deep breath or stretching can help to reset your focus and increase your energy before moving on.
3 Words to think about
Choice – Every action, even the small ones, directs where your energy flows.
Alignment – When your body and mind move together, momentum feels effortless.
Restore – Energy isn’t just spent—it can be replenished with the right habits.
Until next time - stay happy, stay kind and stay you!
