Tea or Coffee?
Don't you wish all choices were as simple as this...
…The good news is they can be - we just need to get to know ourselves well!
How do you like yours?
🌿How do you like to spend your time?
🌿What gives you energy?
🌿Where is your attention going?
I like to think of this as a cup of tea… our time is our cup and there’s only a certain amount it can hold.
Our energy is the tea itself… we choose the flavour, the amount, the temperature, the sweetness, the milkiness etc… creating the perfect balance to invigorate us.
The act of drinking the tea represents where our attention is being spent … does drinking a cup alone in silence resonate? How about scrolling on our phones, chatting to a friend or maybe taking sips whilst working? We’re all different and appreciating our individuality is key to making choices that work for us.
Why Tea Breaks are Important?
As a ‘sole-trader’ for over 10 years, I understand the challenges of running a business alone. I’ve been the Marketing Manager, Production Manager, Admin Assistant, Accountant and Complaints Department. Busy was an understatement!
As things grew, so did my stress… in order to reduce the stress I hired people, which created other roles, ones I hadn’t even dreamt would be part of my business or my identity - Human Resources and 24/7 Tech Support were not in my remit!
I didn’t take regular ‘Tea Breaks’… I didn’t review my systems, I waited too long to ask for help and the result was burnout 🔥 if you’d like to know more about that, check out last weeks article here.
This week is more about solutions and systems to help you create a blend of TEA that protects your
🌿Time
🌿Energy
🌿Attention
Don’t worry, I’m not about to tell you how to run your diary, what to eat or who you should follow online etc… In fact I’m not here to tell you anything! I’m here to offer my experience and knowledge as what I like to call an Energy and Self-Awareness Coach.
You are the only person who can fix where your Time, Energy and Attention go, but sometimes it’s quicker and easier with a coach, who has been there, to guide you - after all, most of us have taken pain killers to quickly ease our pain, why wait for the long process of figuring out things alone when there’s a faster and more enjoyable solution?
When we’re stretched to our limits and break, we have a choice - stay broken or get back up and build something stronger and more resilient… I chose the latter and part of that was thanks to the many self-help books I’d completed prior to my ‘burnout’ and a coaching course I devoured during my recovery.
Marie Forleo’s - ‘Everything is Figureoutable’ was one of those books. It’s one of my favourites and I highly recommend adding it to your reading list if you love self-help books like I do.
Coaching isn’t everyone’s ‘Cup of Tea’ (terrible pun) - where’s Jimmy Carr when you need him 😅 It is, however, a way to speed up the process of building a stronger, healthier and happier version of ourselves.
My offer to you
🌿Become a Founding Member of Think Better, Feel Better and receive 4 coaching sessions 1:1 this Spring - Each session will be conducted over Zoom for 45 minutes.
🌿Limited spaces - we all know there are only 24 hours in a day and they are very precious. With this in mind, I want to give my best to each person who choses to work with me, so I am offering 9 coaching spaces.
🌿I would love to help you take back your Time, Energy and Attention to live a more rewarding, fulfilling and Happy life and I’m looking forward to meeting you soon.
Thank you for reading 🫶🏻
Have a Great Week!

Such a great acronym to use and one that definitely made me pause to think. Funnily enough I spend time talking to others about the value in the ritual of making tea and waiting for the kettle to boil as the antithesis to modern life x
